Information on SCLTA / SCNLA Merger

Our South Carolina Landscape and Turfgrass Association (SCLTA) Board of Directors have been working with the South Carolina Nursery and Landscape Association (SCNLA) Board of Directors on an effort to merge our two organizations together into a new organization that will serve as a more robust, vital, and effective voice for our industry. Representatives from both the SCLTA and SCNLA have been working with third party consultants on the merger process for over two years and have successfully come to an agreement that will allow the newly formed entity, which will be called the South Carolina Green Industry Association, to bring a higher level of service and value to members.

The Plan of Merger has been approved by the Boards of Directors of both the SCLTA and SCNLA. Now, pursuant to South Carolina law and the SCLTA Bylaws, it is your turn to consider and vote on the merger. On behalf of the SCLTA Board of Directors, we respectfully request your support for the proposed merger.

Voting will take place via paper ballot on January 25, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. during the Business Meeting portion of the SCLTA Annual Conference and Trade Show at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center (1101 Lincoln Street, Columbia, South Carolina 29201).

We have distributed official notice of our annual meeting and the merger vote. This notice included an in-depth Merger Packet for SCLTA members to review.
