SC Dept of Ag. Sets SC Waste Pesticide Recovery Collection Dates & Locations

The dates and locations are set for the 2013 SC Waste Pesticide Recovery Program. Based on surveys, the South Carolina Department of Agriculture (SCDA) has established seven locations across the state making it easy for South Carolina farmers, foresters, nurserymen, golf course operators, and custom applicators to safely dispose of old, outdated, unusable, or unwanted pesticides. The goal of the program is to increase proper management and disposal of unwanted pesticides.

The program is free and open to all private and commercial pesticide applicators in the state. Commercial applicators can bring up to 1000 pounds of solid and 55 gallons of liquid pesticides at no charge. However, commercial applicators will have to cover the cost for quantities over that limit. They will also need to notify SCDA.

Please see attached information for dates and locations.
